Human Resources Manager



KMSS is a mid-sized public accounting firm made up of 80 team members proudly serving clients in Calgary and the Bow Valley area. We are currently seeking an experienced Manager of Human Resources to join our leadership team.

About the Role:



Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will lead the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, providing strategic guidance, operational support, and people-focused leadership. From recruitment and employee relations to performance management and total compensation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:



Advise and support the Managing Partner and Executive Committee on HR strategies and initiatives.

Lead recruitment for experienced hires and oversee annual campus recruiting process.

Build strong relationships with post-secondary institutions, CPAWSB, and CPA Alberta.

Communicates directly with HR legal counsel on sensitive HR matters.

Oversee the performance management process.

Administration and coordination of annual Continuing Professional Development program

Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews and employee communication exchanges.

Facilitate and analyze employee engagement surveys.

Provide counsel and recommendations on employee relations matters.

Participate in annual compensation reviews, conduct market research, and liaise with HR peers in the industry.

Develop, update, and communicate firm policies.

Deliver monthly HR reports and updates at Partner Manager meetings.

Manage and support three direct reports.

Report CPA Candidate results and facilitate ongoing professional development.

Provide soft skills training on HR-related topics.

Skills and Competencies:



5-10 years of HR management experience (preference will be given to candidates with prior public practice experience).

CPHR designation is an asset.

Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to manage multiple HR initiatives at once.

Detail orientated with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Passion for client service and team engagement.

Professionalism and discretion in all matters.

Pay: $115,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
