Overview

Hexagon\xe2\x80\x99s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an HR Immigration & Compliance Specialist to join our team to support our global engineering and manufacturing business that does cool stuff that matters. As the successful candidate, you are detail-oriented and have experience in Canadian and USA immigration and an understanding of compliance as it relates to employee security clearances. You are also highly resourceful and meticulous in your approach to work and are known for your customer service.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

As HR Immigration & Compliance Specialist, responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary contact and manage the process for Canadian and USA immigration matters and Canadian Controlled Goods personnel security assessments
• Manage work visas and PR application process; work with external counsel to organize and review the information required for timely filing
• Consult with external immigration counsel and address employee and candidate immigration queries and provide status updates
• Provide employees and visitors with travel letters of support
• Manage all Controlled Goods (CG) personnel security assessments which includes reviewing applications and ensuring all the required information is complete, conducting risk assessments per the CG process, liaising with the CG Directorate on temporary foreign worker applications, and responding to employees and manager queries
• Identify and implement process improvements to achieve efficiencies and improve the overall experience for employees
• Support other compliance related initiatives as required

Qualifications

Must Have

• 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with Canada and USA immigration and knowledge of immigration requirements
• Some related post-secondary education
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to obtain a Controlled Goods Designated Official certification
