Human Resources Generalist for a 13-month maternity leave contract

Position: Human Resources Generalist (Maternity Leave Contract)
Location: Surrey, BC (on-site)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
Contract Duration: 13 months

Key Responsibilities:
Administer HR programs including onboarding, compensation, performance management, and employee relations
Maintain HRIS and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality
Support managers and employees with HR documentation and inquiries
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards
Update and maintain HR policies and procedures
Conduct research and analysis on compensation trends
Assist with HR projects and process improvements
Update and manage the HR tracker and key HR metrics
Lead and support various strategic HR projects
Spearhead new initiatives and process improvements across the organization
Apply change management principles to support organizational transitions
Stay current on employment legislation and HR best practices
Promote a positive workplace culture through effective HR support
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or working towards CHRP
Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR Administrator or Generalist role
Strong knowledge of employment standards and human rights legislation
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
CPHR designation is an asset
Experience in a high-volume, multi-location environment is preferred
Demonstrated experience in change management and strategic HR initiatives
