We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to join our team and support the firm's Human Resources operations. This role plays a key part in coordinating day-to-day HR processes, supporting employee experience initiatives, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment standards. The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Director and firm leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and people-focused support that reflects the firm's values and culture.

Responsibilities and Expectations
HR Administration & Coordination
Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
Coordinate full employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and digital personnel files.
Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and other HR documentation as needed.
Support the implementation and ongoing administration of the UKG HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and user adoption across the firm.
Support performance management processes by coordinating reviews, tracking goals and development plans, maintaining records, and providing administrative scheduling support.
People Experience & Engagement
Support delivery of employee engagement initiatives, firm-wide events, and recognition programs.
Assist with coordination of training and human resources opportunities
Respond to general HR inquiries from staff and direct them to appropriate resources.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure HR processes align with BC Employment Standards and internal policies.
Track and report on vacation, sick days, and other leaves of absence through UKG HRIS.
Support the implementation, administration and update of HR handbook. policies, programs, and systems.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Benefits & WCB Administration
Administer employee group benefits plans, including enrolments, changes, terminations, and responding to employee questions.
Coordinate annual benefits renewals and support employee communications regarding benefit programs.
Manage Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claims and documentation, ensuring timely reporting, follow-up, and return-to-work coordination.
Maintain accurate benefits and WCB records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Other
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Assist HR Director with other administrative or strategic projects as assigned.
Qualifications / Assets
3+ years of experience in HR coordination, administration, or a related support role.
Familiarity with HR best practices and basic employment legislation (BC Employment Standards).
Experience using or supporting an HRIS platform to manage employee data, reporting, and HR workflows.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint or similar platforms.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to work with confidential information.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field considered an asset.
