HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS

Data Management

- Fully trained and capable of creating new files and updates within HRIS and producing reports and analysis as required.

- Participate in the data collection for OACAS, Ministry and internal HR surveys.

- Create and maintain various staff information (intercom list, mailboxes)

Policy & Procedures

- Review and provide recommendations on the agency's Health and Safety and Human Resources policies.

- Ensure compliance on annual requirements for staff adherence to policies and procedures (i.e. Confidentiality and Privacy).

Benefits Administration

- Enroll new workers in benefits (Extended Health & Dental, Life Insurance, AD&D and Long-Term Disability, Pension Plan)

- Input transactional information into benefits carrier websites, OMERS data maintenance and pension year end reporting.

- Prepare medical leave paperwork for short term disability and assist employees with long term disability process.

Health & Safety

- Bi-Annual Fire Drill coordination.

- Member of the JHSC (Core Certified Management Member)

- Distribution and maintenance of documentation necessary to ensure compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and other relevant legislation

- Annual health and safety training (Workplace Violence and Harassment)

- Complete and maintain WSIB documentation.

Recruitment / Orientation / Onboarding

- Post job vacancies, manage applicant lists and assist managers with interviewing and selection processes.

- Ensure equity, anti-racism and anti-Colonialism is embedded through the process.

- Participate in interviews when needed.

- Prepare employment contracts for prospective employees.

- Coordinate orientation and onboarding of new workers (paperwork, office tour, etc.)

- Order business cards and maintain inventories as needed.

Training

- Provide leadership on organization and coordination of training needs / event planning sponsored through OACAS.

- Register staff for OACAS training events working closely with OACAS contacts.

- Assist with the coordination of training events held within SLCAS (room bookings, registration for events)

- Deliver training sessions for all staff (Workplace Violence and Harassment, The Working Mind, etc.) as needed;

Absence Management and Vacation Records

- Assist workers and managers with time off inquiries.

- Provide time off reports and analysis when requested.

Other Human Resources, Training, and Health and Safety duties as assigned.

Minutes of Meetings

- Take minutes for various agency meetings as requested - i.e. monthly staff meetings; management meetings.

Primary Back-Up to Executive Assistant

Other Office Administration duties as assigned.

Pay: $63,270.00-$81,261.00 per year
