About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator
(Contract - 18 Months) i
s a key player in providing day-to-day HR services to staff and support to managers and supervisors, in addition to supporting the HR Director and team on various HR activities. The HR Coordinator will provide technical support to ensure regulatory and legal compliance with HR related laws and regulations, and to provide advice in relation to legal, administration, and payroll matters. The HR Coordinator will contribute to attracting and retaining top talent and support HR programs designed to foster a positive and highly engaged workplace culture.

Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site job.
What You Will Do
Act as the main contact for employee relations and HR & Personnel services provided to AtomVie employees and address employee inquiries in a timely manner (i.e. employment letters, etc.).
Manage benefits and leaves on the HRIS / ADP, coordinate work schedules and scheduling arrangements with various departments, ensuring full compliance with ESA and AtomVie's policies.
Oversee employee leave of absences, STD, LTD processes and facilitate successful return to work processes.
Review attendance and employees' compensation / payroll decisions compliance with ESA and AtomVie policies. Coordinate and share employees' information and updates with payroll.
Support Employee relation matters, including investigations, facilitating disciplinary and grievance matters, and following up on performance improvement plans.
Participate in the onboarding and offboarding of staff. Assist with drafting job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating background/reference checks, preparing offer letters, and organizing onboarding packages and orientation sessions.
Assist Managers and the HR team in the coordination and administration of performance review processes, as needed.
Plan and track mandatory training completions, maintain training records in the system, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain and continuously update the physical and/or digital staff files and records, support the HR team in keeping HRIS/ADP updated.
Support the HR team in various activities including recruitment, employee engagement, employee check-ins, HR events and job fairs, trainings activities.
Track and report applicable laws and regulations updates and changes to ensure continuous compliance including the ESA, Health & Safety, Human Rights, Privacy Act, and other employment laws. Recommend updates to the HR and personnel policies accordingly.
Promote a positive, diverse culture and foster employee engagement.

Requirements
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management and/or 3+ years of relevant experience.
Working towards a CHRP designation is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR best practices along with hands on experience is a must.
Experience in managing sensitive employee relations and compensation matters.
Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and develop strong, trust-based, professional relationships with employees and managers.
Ability to remain calm, work well under pressure and use good judgment in assessing difficult situations.
