What's the position?




The

HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Social Gaming

is a key member of the People Team, responsible for supporting our Canada and U.S. based teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is excited to build strong relationships across the business to drive engagement, support performance, and shape a positive workplace culture.



This role balances strategic partnership with hands-on HR execution and provides full-spectrum support across employee relations, talent planning, performance coaching, compliance, and HR administration.

Hybrid Schedule:

This position requires in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with remote flexibility on other days unless business needs require your attendance in the office on additional days.

You will be responsible for:

Serving as a strategic advisor

to operational leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive performance, engagement, and long-term organizational success.

Leading complex employee relations matters

with sound judgment, confidentiality, and consistency, ensuring legal compliance and a balanced approach that protects both employee rights and company interests.

Coaching and developing people leaders

to enhance leadership capability, team effectiveness, and accountability through tailored guidance, performance feedback, and proactive development planning.

Driving performance management processes

from goal-setting to calibration and feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance across frontline and management teams.

Developing and implementing retention and engagement strategies

that are informed by data, employee insights, and business needs--ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the lifecycle.

Interpreting and advising on employment laws and HR policies

in both U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions, ensuring full compliance and mitigating risk in a highly regulated industry.

Partnering cross-functionally

with Talent Acquisition, Legal, Compliance, and other departments to ensure seamless HR support and alignment across the employee journey.

Using people analytics and reporting tools

to identify trends, assess risks, and inform data-driven decision-making that supports operational goals.

Continuously improving HR programs and processes

to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and employee satisfaction--bringing a mindset of innovation and scalability to the People Team.

What are we looking for?




We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-oriented HR professional who is passionate about people, energized by operational excellence, and driven to make a meaningful impact.

Required and Preferred Experience:



5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting operations or front-line employee groups Strong knowledge of employment law in both Canada and the U.S. Experience managing complex employee relations cases with a fair, thoughtful, and balanced approach Comfort with ambiguity and change; capable of working at both the strategic and tactical levels Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficient in HR systems (e.g., HiBob, ADP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite Passion for gaming, entertainment, or hospitality is a plus!
