Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, HCM and Compensation, the HCM and HR Analyst will deliver operational and service excellence in regard to HR data and system functions. This role will primarily support with Human Capital Management (HCM) system administration, processing and Human Resource Metrics and Reporting. This role will be the Workday technical user for maintaining the HR system and HR data quality.
This is a highly technical role that requires strong experience with HRIS systems, specifically
Workday
. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building reports within Workday and possess advanced Excel skills, including
VLOOKUP
,
HLOOKUP
, formulas, pivot tables, and macros. Experience with
Power BI
is considered an asset. The role involves working with complex data sets and requires a strong analytical mindset to support HR operations and reporting needs.
Role and Responsibilities:
Act as technical subject matter expert for Human Capital Management (HCM) Data and Systems
Develop, collect, analyze and transform workforce data through the use of databases, spreadsheets, and queries
Translate findings into meaningful visualizations and develop presentations for Business and HR leadership
Support technical requirement development and implementation of HR reporting, dashboards and visualization in Workday
Responsible for the data entry and extraction, data collection and cleaning, data validation and analysis
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting, analysis and integrations, recommend data enrichment practices and perform regular data cleansing of the Workday system
Act as point of contact for complex issues across applicable Workday modules such as, but not limited to, HCM, absence, time tracking, payroll, benefits, recruiting
Act as point of escalation for system errors or failures while partnering with Payroll, Finance, IT and/or third party vendors to resolve issues as needed
Act as lead for Workday updates such as review of system release notes, plan and coordinate testing, and rollout of system releases
Support technical requirement development of HR processes and Workday full-cycle implementations, including but not limited to, new modules, mergers and acquisitions, divestment, reorganization and/or restructuring
Support with change management, communication, training development and execution
Assist in HR processes harmonization and improvement initiatives
Document system Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Support with SOX/Audit compliance deliverables in conjunction with internal & external auditors
Support the day-to-day execution of work, including management of HRIS's ticketing inbox
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Four (4) years of current work experience in HCM Systems, Workforce Reporting and HR Operations
Two (2) years Workday full cycle system implementation
Must have technical knowledge and configuration experience on Workday Recruitment, Absence and Time Tracking modules
Workday Payroll and Integration experience an asset
Must have experience in using Workday's Report Writer, Worksheets, and Discovery Board
Advanced proficiency in Excel (if statements, nested formulas, vlookups, countif, pivot tables, macros)
Experience in workforce reporting with strong analytical skills - create, analyze and interpret HR metrics
Basic understanding of the different HR functional concepts and processes
Basic understanding of local and global employment standards and requirements
Technical mindset - integration between business needs and HR technology solutions
Demonstrable ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multi-task, and work extended hours to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently in global, cross-regional and cross-functional capacity
Attention to detail in managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Proposes solutions and constantly follows through to solve complex problems in a busy environment
