Job Description

We are currently seeking a HR Analyst II to join our team.


The HR Analyst II provides systems optimization, process re-engineering, workforce analytics, reporting and analytic tools and dashboards to address business needs and solutions. This role serves as a HR Analytic subject matter expert and supports the Sr. HR Analyst roles, as well as leaders across the business in the utilization of HR dashboards, analytics, and insights to support achievement of business objectives.


Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day:



Analytics, Metrics and Reporting:

Runs reports, completes surveys, gathers data from various sources and provides data analysis as requested to help identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. Has the ability to respond to complex HR data requests (e.g. developing queries and translating the data to provide value added analysis). Looks into inquiries and issues assigned by the Sr. Manager and ensures reports from assigned HR systems (e.g. Visier, Oracle and Qualtrics) are provided according to performance and service level standards. Effectively translates complex business requirements into technical solutions.

Project Management:

Assists the Senior HR Analyst, occasionally taking a lead role on assigned projects or work streams, usually within the analytics field, from research through to deployment and operational integration. Provides business and data analyst support and leadership of project resources. As required, tracks, monitors and communicates overall project status, risks, issues and dependencies relative to the project plan. Escalates issues and risks as required to the Sr. HR Analyst.

Operations:

Develops, delivers and manages operational requirements for the HR analytics application and other HR applications as assigned. Ensures work processes and procedures are compliant with HR practices and guidelines are well documented and communicated to the team.

Service Delivery:

Develops service delivery standards for assigned systems and programs and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure queries and systems activities and processes are completed in line with service standards. Acts as escalation point for assigned systems (e.g Service-Now), projects (e.g Oracle HCM) and programs (e.g Excel). Serves as an internal resource to train people regarding the use of workforce data and analytics via existing technology and self-service tools.

Continuous Improvement & Business Process Automation

: Recommends and provides assistance to implement programs, system or business performance improvements through technology and business process optimizations. Look for opportunities to create automated dashboards for monthly report outs. Works with clients to identify and understand business needs and works with stakeholders to analyze, implement, communicate and document requirements for changes to HR business processes, revising existing processes as necessary or redesigning digital solutions to solve business problems.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree (HR or related field) required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education required. HR Analytics certification and/or Business Intelligence statistical training preferred. 3 years previous experience in an analyst function required. Experience with building OTBI reports within Oracle is required. Experience with PowerBI, Visier and Qualtrics is an asset. Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, self-directed, problem solving and advancing continuous improvement. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to consult and interact verbally and inwriting with a wide variety of people, including Senior Leadership. Proven strong customer service focus with the ability to partner with a variety of groups using to identify issues and find unique solutions. Advanced with computer software applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with HR technology, HCM systems, reporting, and best data practices. Strong ability documenting processes, with ability to spot efficacies and gaps in processes to improve where possible. Experience with project management methodology is an asset. Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
