We are a mid-sized home services company located in Woodbridge, seeking a proactive and trusted
HR Leader
to help us connect with our employees and create a positive culture and job satisfaction. This role is key in supporting leaders and employees across the organization, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and people development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and a strong understanding of employment legislation and best practices. This role is a part time, permanent position, with schedule flexibility that meets the demands of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a
trusted advisor
to leaders on all HR-related matters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
Lead and support employee relations cases
, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary or grievance processes.
Coach and support leaders
on performance management, engagement, and team development strategies.
Provide guidance on
employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices
to ensure compliance, consistency, and fairness across all decisions.
Contribute to HR policy and program development
, ensuring they reflect current legislation and evolving business needs.
Partner with leaders to implement
employee engagement, retention, and development strategies
.
Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary education in
Human Resources Management
or a related field (CHRP/CHRL designation preferred).
5+ years of HR advisory or generalist experience
, preferably in a multi-site or complex organization.
Strong knowledge of
employment law, HR policies, and best practices
.
Proven ability to handle
employee relations
with discretion, fairness, and sound judgment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong partnerships and influence at all organizational levels.
