What you'll do:

As the Tier 1 representative for Canada in the LSEG People Portal, you will respond to manager and employee queries on compensation, benefits, payroll, etc.

Provide second-level support on escalated compensation, benefits, and employee relations issues relevant to Canada

Lead new hire orientation for Canada/integration of new and transferring employees

Provide guidance to employees, general managers, and the HR Community on navigation and use of HRIS systems

Represent Canada on internal People Function projects, providing insight into Canadian labor practices and regulations

Liaise with external benefits providers in Canada to coordinate the enrollment of new hires and unenrollment of exiting employees

Manage employee Leaves of Absence by providing employees and managers with guidance on available forms of leave, processing leaves of absence in Workday, and coordinating with external benefits providers and local governments where applicable

Work closely with specialty groups such as Global Mobility, Visa & Immigration, and External Counsel to provide support and guidance through the International Assignment/Transfer process and Visa cases

Aid in employee relations issues by providing support with investigations and performance management concerns by liaising with the Business, HR Partners, and Employment Counsel

Support Reduction in Force activities in Canada by calculating severance payments and reporting them to payroll, drafting severance agreements and notifying impacted employees

Create, manipulate, and analyze HR data within Excel worksheets based on various business requirements by running standard queries and reports from our HRIS system, Workday

What skills and experience are we looking for:

Prior HR or consultative experience, specifically in areas relating to HR Service Operations and Employee Relations

Excellent attention to detail and process orientation

Understanding of Canadian employment legislation

Prior experience with Workday and ServiceNow

Project management and group facilitation experience

Strong analytic, consultative, and collaboration skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint, and Outlook and working to expert knowledge of Excel

Detail oriented individual with excellent follow through and communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Ability to be flexible and adaptable to new and changing priorities.

Innovative, client delivery focused problem solver who is solutions oriented

Is resourceful and able to successfully navigate through a global organization

Ability to interact with senior management and build relationships with key staff across a large, highly matrixed global organization
