Prairie North Co-op is hiring a Human Resources Advisor located in Melfort, Saskatchewan.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor will support a variety of HR activities throughout both retails including recruitment, talent management, training and development, labour/employee relations, total rewards, and payroll administration. Passionate to support others, the HR Advisor will champion the value of Service by frequently visiting each retail location to offer solutions, build trust and drive culture. Additional responsibilities include:

• Support recruitment processes including creating postings, review/screen candidates, conduct interviews, reference checks and offers and onboarding
• Advise team leaders on interpretation of collective agreement, provincial legislation, and labour law
• Working with the leadership team, you are responsible for ensuring engagement, and professional growth of team members
• Provide coaching and assistance with the disciplinary process, formulating disciplinary communication, and advice on disciplinary meetings
• Provide coaching and support to team leaders and team members on all aspects of talent management practices, including goal setting, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and onboarding
• Provide team leaders with advice on performance related issues and work directly with employees to address workplace/department concerns
• Lead, administer and coordinate employee programs (Long Term disability and short-term sick leave, Maternity leave, educational leave, compassionate leave, personal leave, etc.)

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Human Resources and:

• You have a business degree or diploma with a major in HR
• You have 2 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years of experience in a HR generalist or specialist role
• You are passionate about people and developing relationships with others
• You are willing to travel 2-4 days a week to support all retail locations
• Must have great interpersonal skills including the ability to gain confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
