Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Additional Benefits: Health and dental, mileage reimbursement, pensionQuantum is currently recruiting for a dynamic HR Advisor for their non-profit client located in the region of York. The successful candidate will provide guidance on recruitment, employee relations, and HR projects while ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. This is a 14-month fixed term contract position.Responsibilities:Recruitment and Onboarding:- Collaborate with HR Business Partner and department leaders to understand hiring needs, develop sourcing strategies, manage recruitment negotiations, and support the exit interview process.
- Guide the team on recruitment files, job fairs, job postings, preliminary interviews, interview guides, panel selection, and reference checks.Employee and Labour Relations:- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; provide support and guidance on complex HR inquiries.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to recommend proactive HR solutions and refer complex inquiries as needed.
- Advise on the administration of employee legislation, ensuring consistent application of guidelines.
- Research employee and labour relations issues, create case files, analyze data, and generate reports.
- Support complaint processes, and prepare responses and settlement agreements.
- Attend grievance and arbitration/mediation meetings, coordinate meeting preparation, and track follow-up deliverables.
- Oversee the Disability Management Program with the HR Business Partner and participate in return-to-work meetings and accommodation reviews.HRIS and Projects:- Participate in HR projects, including HRIS implementation and training, policy development, and communication material creation.Compensation and Total Rewards:- Support the HR Business Partner in designing and delivering compensation and total rewards programs, job evaluation, and pay equity initiatives.
- Participate in HR training programs and the development of HR policies and initiatives.Qualifications:- University degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience and education.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation preferred.
- Minimum of four years of experience in HR.
- Experience in employee and labour relations in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HR legislation and regulations (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
