Housing Renovation Manager
. The candidate is responsible for overseeing the full process of planning, designing, and renovation of housing projects. He/she works with design engineering firms and municipal authorities to develop renovation plans, select, hire and supervise trade subcontractors to do specialized work, such as plumbing, heating and electrical work, supervises contractors and subcontractors, attends project progress meetings, monitors compliance with building and safety codes and regulations, and manages to purchase, contracts and procurement of the projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within the budget, and meet the required quality standards. Main duties
Work within a multidiscipline/multicultural environment
Leads, develops, implements, evaluates, and monitors projects according to the expense, capital project plan and business priorities and make the required adjustment
Select, hire, and supervise trade subcontractors to do specialized work, such as plumbing, heating and electrical work
Prepare bids for the projects and review and evaluate the received proposals/offers
Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate the activities of subcontractors
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade subcontractors
On-site inspect work performed by subcontractors to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications and provide updates and progress reports to the Management Team
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade subcontractors
Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials
Work with the engineering team and authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Work with 3D and 2D CAD models
Skills & Qualifications
A university degree in civil/architectural/industrial/mechanical engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required
At least 3 years of experience working directly on Construction/Renovation Projects
Solid knowledge of construction safety and regulations
Solid knowledge of interior and exterior designs
Flexible to work irregular hours
Able to work with Contractors, Vendors, and other Stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent negotiations and conflict management within the construction industry and trades
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products and using multi-media tools
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
