Full job description

A Housekeeping Attendant is primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness within both the internal and external premises of the property. This includes tasks such as window cleaning, sweeping, garbage disposal, basic weeding, and patio and deck upkeep. Additionally, they clean guest rooms as needed, which involves changing bed linens, arranging towels, restocking toiletries, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing washrooms.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform basic housekeeping duties, including changing sheets, arranging towels, restocking supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and room rearrangement after guest check-out Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms during service Report instances of property damage in commercial spaces to the supervisor Collaborate with a team of housekeepers during each shift Clean, disinfect, and store all equipment at the end of the shift Maintain positive relationships with employees and guests Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies Respond to housekeeping-related calls, such as spills and broken glass Collect and dispose of trash and debris Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing, and sorting linen Clean upholstered furniture Perform detailed deep cleaning tasks as required

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and extended periods of standing and walking Capability to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic setting Strong customer service skills and a dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere

Experience and training

Minimum two years' experience in housekeeping or similar role WHIMS is an asset

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
