Our Village of Wentworth Heights located in Hamilton, ON, has a number of opportunities to join our Housekeeping and Laundry team. With the uncertainty around Covid-19 and how that may impact our Residents and Team Members, Schlegel Villages is drawing on our core values to ensure we continue to achieve our mission of providing optimal health and life purpose for each and every one of our residents during any crisis that is to come. As a new House Keeping or Laundry team member joining our Village, you will: Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of housekeeping services to our residents. Our Housekeeping and Laundry Team Members at Schlegel Villages perform a variety of cleaning and housekeeping activities across their Village to ensure a safe and comfortable home environment for residents, their families and your colleagues. To be successful as our new Housekeeping or Laundry Team Member, you will:

• Be committed to following task procedures when completing all housekeeping duties
• Handle residents’ personal items, Village supplies and equipment with care and respect
• Respects the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members and visitors to the Village and addresses any requests with professionalism and care

It would be an asset if our new Housekeeping or Laundry Team Member has:

• An awareness and understanding of infection control practices, workplace hazardous materials and chemicals (WHMIS), as well as, all relevant health and safety procedures
