Housekeeping Aide

to join our Columbia Garden Village team in

Invermere

,

BC

The successful candidate will have related experience and a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.

We are looking for someone who will:

Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, preparing cleaning solution, replenishing supplies; and cleaning, disinfecting and storing housekeeping equipment; Assist with laundry as needed. Operate in a safe manner and report any present or potential health and safety hazards to Manager; Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner; Complete required documentation; Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences; Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and, Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

Effective communication and organizational skills; Energetic, focused, and enthusiastic person; Accountability for the general sanitation of the building; Ability to work independently and as a team-player; Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs; Grade 10 education or equivalent; Can provide a negative TB Screening test; Can provide a complete Immunization Record as outlined in the BC Centre for Disease Control for Health Care workers; Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.

What we offer you

Compensation: The $24.34 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage levelling.
