Scheduling and professional development.
Behaviour Management/ implementation of CPI Plans & strategies
Ensuring that all documentation (reports, logs, IRs, etc) are completed accurately and on time
Serious Occurrence reporting as required
Promoting a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for clients and staff
Attending/ chairing regularly scheduled staff meetings
Ensure medical, dental, etc appointments are scheduled and attended as required
Supporting clients to engage in social, educational, and recreational activities
To work with individuals who have developmental disabilities/ ASD in a group living environment. To support the Individuals in their physical, social, spiritual, psychological, educational and vocational needs.
Ensuring compliance with individualized Plan of Care/ ISP reports for each client and assisting in the development of their care plans
This position if for a one-year Maternity Leave contract commencing in Dec/25
Qualifications/Experience:
Must possess necessary educational requirements (DSW, CYW, University Degree or equivalent/ experience)
Must have worked full-time within the field of Special Needs for minimum of 2 years
Practical knowledge/experience in Residential Services Sector with an awareness of regulations set forth in the Sector's CYFSA
Reliable and professional with good interactive communication skills (verbal and written) and strong work ethic
Organized individual who meets the needs of the children in care
Good Time Management
Behaviour Management/ CPI certification an asset
Good team building skills
Ability to provide supervision/ leadership in a supportive/objective manner
Ability to liaison with outside agencies and other professionals
Demonstrate a caring, respectful, non-judgmental attitude
Class G Driver's License
