Description :
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course SUPPORTING THE CHILD'S OVERALL DEVELOPMENT 2 (350-233-LA).
By the end of the course, students will have sufficient knowledge of the main stages in the language, social, moral, emotional, and sexual development of children aged 0 to 12, and will understand the interdependence of these domains of development, as well as the gaps in maturation that can occur between them. They will be able to establish connections between observed behaviours and all domains of development, and, through their observations, will also be able to support children in their zone of proximal development, regardless of the domain in question.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in pyschology or a related discipline and 2 years of teaching experience. Teaching experience in Early Childhood Education or a related program such as Child Studies, Child Development, Social Work, or similar fields such as Special Education and Family Support and Life Studies is an asset. This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required. Teaching experience with an adult clientele is strongly recommended.
