Who Are We?

Hi! I'm Adam, owner of Guardian Automotive in West Edmonton. We consider ourselves the "island of misfit toys" in an industry fraught with rollercoaster paychecks, office/shop politics, lackluster culture, cut corners to make pay, and low levels of respect. Since 2019, we have gone from scrappy startup to a thriving, expanding shop with 11 hoists, an epic snack station, great customer reviews, low turnover, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together (seriously, we hang out after hours quite often). What You Will Do:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic and Asian brand vehicles. No European brands and no endless peanut-paying warranty jobs. Take pride in quality work, not just speed. Doing things twice is always more expensive than taking a few minutes to double check work and do it right. Collaborate with a team that values answers, support, and real solutions. No finger pointing, just support. Use modern tools including digital inspections, scan tools, and up to date tech. Help us keep pushing the industry forward.

What We Are Looking For:

Solid experience with domestic and Asian vehicles. Red Seal or Journeyperson preferred. Driven third and fourth year apprentices welcome (wage will be negotiated based on experience). Comfortable with digital diagnostics and modern shop tech. No written ROs, inspections or invoices here. Team player. No drama, no egos, just good people who want to do great work. We joke a lot. Levity keeps life from getting monotonous. Who would want to work somewhere you can't make lighthearted jokes? Gross. Growth mindset. You want to learn, improve, and maybe take on bigger roles as we grow. We always have sustainable expansion on our mind. What can I say? I like the new and shiny. Multi-shop operations is a strong contender for our future path once we max out this space and we're getting close. Running out of other units to absorb.
