I'm Adam, the owner of Guardian Automotive in West Edmonton, and I'm going to go massively off-script from the norm. If our ads seem a bit quirky--or let's be real, a lot quirky compared to the cookie-cutter templates out there--you're not wrong. We're different, and we like it that way.

When we opened Guardian Automotive in 2019, we had a shaky start--a bit of an identity crisis and a shortsighted plan, if we're being honest. Just as we were finding our footing, early 2020 hit, bringing with it a certain well-known medical and economic crisis that threw a wrench into everything. It was brutal--like a swift kick to the driveshaft brutal. But we dug deep. We fought like hell, powered by sheer determination and a refusal to quit. And guess what? Perseverance paid off.

Fast forward to today: we're on our fourth expansion, growing in facility size, team strength, car count, and revenue each time. This year, we're focusing on vertical growth. We have plenty of hoists, plenty of space, now it's time to push the limits of what we're capable of. We've turned our waiting room into a space people actually enjoy spending time in--with a massive free snack station and bean-to-cup coffee that's always a hit (We've even started building our own little arcade corner!). We're proud to operate with 11 hoists, a 12,000-square-foot facility, an organized & dedicated office for advisors and parts, and a vision for continued growth.

Growth and resilience are in our DNA. Over the years, we've proven we can tackle challenges others swore were impossible. We stayed focused on what mattered: people and culture. There's plenty of market share and work to be done, but not every shop goes about it the right way.

We aim to always be expanding, whether that's horizontal (more people, more hoists, more space) or vertical (more training, better processes, more efficacy). We read, discuss, debate, occasionally we knock down walls. We're getting REALLY good at the wall part. At this point, after our 4th expansion in six years, the sledgehammer nights are becoming a near annual team building event.

Your Role as an Automotive Service Technician:



Diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic and Asian brand vehicles with precision and efficiency. As a technician, you're considered the expert of your field. Every repair needs to leave with pride, quality and confidence. Collaborate with a team of top-notch professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality service. We've set up a solid support network so you have answers to questions, a direct solution for any part hiccup, and some pretty top notch folks to close those deals to keep you busy. Stay ahead of the curve with access to advanced tools, technology, and training/coaching. Contribute to our customer-first culture by keeping communication clear and honest.

What We're Looking For:



Experience Required:

You've got solid automotive repair experience and know your way around domestic and Asian vehicles. Red Seal / Journey ticket preferred. Will consider especially driven 3rd and 4th year apprentices for gradual integration and growth.

Tech-Savvy:

Comfort with modern diagnostic tools and techniques. We pride ourselves on being a tech forward company. Digital vehicle inspections, utilizing scan tool PID data, and self-sourcing processes and procedures from resources like ProDemand are the norm.

Team Player:

We thrive on collaboration and mutual support - No drama, no backstabbing? Sounds nice, doesn't it? Don't lie, you want it...*
