From its 10 locations in Western and Northern Canada, Ketek is able to provide services and rental equipment to clients throughout the region's oil and gas, mining, construction, and municipal sectors.

POSITION BACKGROUND:




The Hotshot Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to oilfield clients/customers on specific routes, including rig sites, off-road delivery locations, Plant and Mine locations. The driver would review orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and provide exceptional customer service to our client base.

CORE DUTIES:



Safe and reliable operation of Ketek vehicles Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes Perform inspections and adjustments on the vehicles before, during, and after trips Properly load and secure each commodity to allow for safe transportation Review deliveries with clients to ensure products meet their needs Completion of hazard assessment, pre-trip vehicle inspection and trailer checklist (if applicable) prior to departure Completion of daily mileage log Responsible for ongoing and effective communication with Ketek personnel and customers regarding product details, schedules, routes etc. Travel into remote areas, without cellphone service, and return safely.
Other Duties

Keep vehicle presentable and in good working order Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis, including hazard assessment and Daily Job Control Sheet Cooperate with Training department for scheduling of new/recertification training Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment Ensure all Ketek's work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Vision and Mission Statements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:



Required



Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence and clean driver's abstract Minimum 1 year of experience as a Delivery Driver Minimum 1 year of Oilfield experience Effective time and route management to provide deliveries in a safe and timely manner Ability to interact with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken) Experience driving half and 1-ton pickup trucks

Preferred



High School Diploma Minimum 1 year of Oilfield experience Experience towing trailers (ball, pintle and 5th wheel) Ability to locate delivery locations using legal subdivision numbers. Ability to travel into remote areas, without cellphone service, and return safely.

This position is defined as Safety Sensitive: Drug, Alcohol, Back, and Audio tests are required prior to commencing employment.
