The Maintenance Manager is expected to help ensure the facility is well-maintained and that all guests experience the highest standard of service.

Successful candidate must be available all hours; this position is not suitable for students Need to be available for on call

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Operate and execute preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs to building, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, pool, laundry machines, mechanical systems and responding to hotel guest complaints. Ensure a comfortable atmosphere in all areas by performing preventive maintenance in all areas especially guest rooms as per brand standards. Develop and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules. Respond to the needs of hotel guests as dispatched. This includes performing preventive maintenance or repair requests on all in-house systems and equipment such as: telephones, TV's, locks, plumbing, HVAC and electrical equipment to ensure their effective operation. Maintain a high-quality physical appearance of the hotel by performing cosmetic repairs to ceilings, walls, tiles, carpets, washrooms, windows, floors, window coverings and furniture including painting, cleaning, and basic carpentry duties. Respond in a courteous manner to guest questions, complaints and/or compliments to ensure guest satisfaction. Must be able to perform swimming pool maintenance, vacuum cleaning of pool single handedly, able to handle chemicals and pool chemistry. Assist the General Manager and other department managers with any projects as needed. Responsible to ensure that the Hotels' standards and Brand standards are met in all physical areas of the hotels including outside the building. Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment. Follow all fire, emergency and health safety programs and procedures in conformance with laws Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS



Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, drywall). Prior experience in a hotel or residential/apartment setting is an asset. Previous work in a service-oriented environment is an asset. Must be resourceful in troubleshooting and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required; able to be on call for any emergencies the hotel might have. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements



Able to lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Comfortable performing physical and hands-on tasks as part of daily responsibilities. Must comply with all health and safety regulations and hotel policies. Must have a valid drivers' license and vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
