Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities by performing maintenance tasks and supervising a small team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with excellent customer service skills to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical equipment. Oversee and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules. Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as needed to foster a productive work environment. Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and parts used. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.

Requirements

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Proficiency in electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC). Experience with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance tasks is advantageous. Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising a team effectively. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in English. A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
