We are looking to fill the position of Hotel Guest Services Manager at Fernie Alpine Resort. You smile and warmly greet our guests as their first point of contact at resort; nothing is too much trouble for you. You prioritize guest experience and teamwork. The ideal candidate will display professionalism, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, is able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. You Will:
To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
Monitor and sustain Standard Operating Procedures of the Guest Services Departments, including Front Desk Operations, Concierges Services and Bellmen at two lodges located at the base of Fernie Alpine Resort
Ensure that the appearance and conduct of all team is at all times consistent with the resort brand
Train, coach and develop a successful and enthusiastic team of Guest Service employees
Supervise scheduling in accordance with employment policies
Complete payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain effective communication with other departments to fulfil the overall resort objectives
Know and abide by RCR policies, Employee Handbook guidelines and Safety Management Program
Perform inventory management tasks including annual rate loading, managing online promotions, daily yielding and product allocation management
Identify and implement Guest experience programs
Effectively communicate and manager privately-owned condo inventory including month-end tasks, repair & maintenance and reservations
To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
You Have:
3-years Front Office management experience with proven history in maintaining superior standards; preferably in and upscale or luxury resort-style properties
Sales focused with a proven history of programming development
Experience in positively leading a team
Proficient in English both verbally and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills
Understanding of hotel operations including housekeeping, maintenance and Food & Beverage services with experience in fiscal budget management
Sincere desire to elevate standards and provide above average guest experience
Flexible working hours - (Weekends, Evenings, and Night Audit Shifts)
