The Hotel Grounds Supervisor leads the groundskeeping team to ensure the property is impeccably maintained, clean, and safe, while exceeding guest expectations. This role involves overseeing daily tasks, seasonal projects, and providing guidance to the team for optimal performance.
Starting Rate:
$22.73 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.51.
Job Duties Include:
Deliver professional, engaging, and friendly service while ensuring the hotel property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Plan, assign, and follow up on daily colleague tasks, while providing training on tools, equipment, and procedures.
Lead and support colleagues through mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
Plan and execute seasonal projects and property enhancements, including holiday decor, gardening, snow removal, turf and tree maintenance, and other landscaping initiatives.
Perform labor-intensive work and operate equipment as required, including shoveling, lifting, pushing, digging, and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience is an asset
Previous experience in a landscaping or snow removal business is required
Previous experience operating large vehicles, skid steer, and machinery is required
Must have Class 5 driver's license and driver's abstract in good standing
Constant standing, walking, and bending throughout shift and must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70+ lbs.
Working on ladders and dealing with heights while holding/lifting items
Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions (snow, heat, rain).
