Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor



As a Housekeeping Supervisor at The Wingate Calgary South, you will be part of a leadership team that's focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences and clean guest rooms. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in driving excellence in your department, to continue to develop high-performing teams members, and deliver elevated guest cleanliness to match the prestige of our property and our brand. 1. Performs daily inspections of guest suites, linen closets, Corridors and public areas, exit stairwells, elevator landings, hotel lobby and public washrooms.

2.Check, verify and monitor all out-of-order suites and follow up on repairs and maintenance deficiencies.

3. Ensures that the AM and PM reports are accurately prepared and forwarded to the front office in a timely manner.

4. Maintain excellent communication with Front Office as well as all other departments.

5. Addresses guest concerns in a positive and helpful manner and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.

6. Maintains guest/employee confidentiality.

7. Supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping department.

8. Conducts continual inspections to determine the hotel's overall level of cleanliness, performs follow-up.

9. Ensures staff adherence to and maintains departmental and company policies including Health and Safety, W.H.M.I.S. and participates in regular fire drills.

10. Checks departmental staff daily to ensure that uniform and grooming standards are maintained.

11. Follow-up on any unusual occurrences, damage or theft and promptly report it to the Executive Housekeeper or Security.

12.As required, prepare employee disciplinary reports and discuss with the Executive Housekeeper before taking action.

13. Assists with on-going departmental training programs.

14.Bring forward suggestions to the Executive Housekeeper for discussion in departmental meetings.

15. Participates in regular linen and supply inventories.

16. Secures keys in accordance with hotel's key management policy.

17. Supervises "Lost and Found" Department.

18. Meets and exceeds customer expectations by ensuring the Housekeeping Department provides superior service and teamwork.

19. Ensures superior training is conducted on a regular basis.

20. Takes corrective action where required to improve safety and work areas.

21. In conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper, develops and implements techniques to improve operational and service requirements.

22.Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

23. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.

24. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

25. Required to be on the schedule to act as Manager on Duty , as assigned.

Qualifications



3+ years of hotel operations experience, including 1+ years in a leadership role Proven ability to manage budgets and drive operational results. Post-secondary education in hospitality or business, or equivalent relevant experience. Proficient in hotel systems (e.g., Opera, Micros) and Microsoft Office tools. Experience leading and developing diverse teams, with a focus on inclusion, accountability, and engagement. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, present, and provide clear direction. Comfortable leading through change in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
