The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is a local, family-owned hotel operated as a franchised property with Marriott International. The hotel consists of 237 guest rooms, conference facilities, Carvers Steakhouse & Lounge, Scarlet Craft kitchen, as well as an indoor waterpark.
As a Hotel Front Desk Agent, you will be an integral part of a team that delivers the highest quality of service excellence. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are highly adaptive to the diverse needs of our customers. We are looking for individuals with open availability to work mornings, mid-shifts or evenings; and you must be able to work weekends.
As a Front Desk Agent, you are often the first impression of the hotel and set the scene for their experience while at our hotel. We require highly engaged individuals who focus on the highest level of customer service. The role is diverse as you will check in/out guests with utmost efficiency, accurate posting of accounts, soliciting guest feedback, assist with upcoming reservations, etc.
Since the Front Desk is the central hub of the hotel, most inquiries and requests filter through the front desk agents. Communication, efficiency, organizational abilities, and follow-through are essentials in being successful in this role. You will often liaise with internal operational departments to communicate requests and deficiencies to ensure the guest is taken care of in a timely manner.
In this role you will also support Guest Services functions (eg; room deliveries, luggage assistance, etc)
Members of our Front Desk team can look forward to performing the following tasks:
Attend to all concerns of the guest proactively and professionally.
Ensure the satisfaction of all guests with a consistent positive attitude.
Review all guest reservations to ensure accuracy.
Ensure rates and account folios are set up and managed correctly.
Communicate key information to appropriate departments and colleagues.
Ensure special requests by guests are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain and balance a cash float during each shift.
Provide services to guests including: check in/out, telephone inquiries, luggage, handling and taking reservations.
Provide guests with the information they require.
Answer questions pertaining to events/activities/concerts.

Qualifications:
Previous Hotel Front Desk Experience preferred or Hospitality Management Certificate/Diploma
Excellent communication & organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
