Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. All Applying must have clean drivers abstract!

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at delivery sites. Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle operated. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. Basic automotive repair skills are highly desirable for maintaining vehicle performance. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail, particularly in following safety protocols and documentation requirements. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
