Role Description

We are expanding our Transportation Team. We are hiring experienced

Hot Shot Driver

. This role supports transporting construction materials and equipment between our Production Facility in Crossfield and customer and vendor sites.

Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from designated locations. (Company vehicles can include, 1/2 ton, 3/4 Ton, 1 Ton, 3 and 5 ton trucks; and trailers). Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving Load and unload cargo as required, securing all loads Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, etc. Maintain accurate records of deliveries Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery to move items on and off trucks, load material onto buildings etc. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections. Keeps inventory, loading areas and machinery clean. Receives materials ensuring accuracy of order and quality of goods received. Assists other crews when required.

Experience:

Valid class 3 or higher driver's license with a clean driving record Proven experience as a driver or similar role Experienced with driving 3 ton truck and trailer Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours Strong communication and customer service skills Forklift/ Telehandler training is an asset Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed

Location:

This role is office based at our 135,000 square feet manufacturing facility 20 minutes North of Calgary in Crossfield, Alberta, strategically located near a High Load Corridor which allows us to transport loads up to 9 meters high to many parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and the United States. Our employees live in Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding communities.
