HOT SHOT DRIVER

Tara is seeking an experienced Hot Shot Driver who is interested in an engaging and dynamic career at one of North America's premier oilfield services companies.

The Hot Shot Driver is responsible for the timely and safe transport and delivery of products, parts and/or materials from TARA's operations base to client worksites. This role involves efficient route planning, adherence to delivery schedules, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take reasonable care to protect his/her health and safety and that of other workers by following Tara Energy's safety policies & procedures, as well as government and industry regulations. Safely perform short and long-haul transportation of products, parts and/or materials from base to base, and base to remote locations when required. Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status. Handle and document freight paperwork, ensuring accurate and complete record-keeping. Ensure hours of service and logbooks are maintained. Maintain cleanliness and organize the interior and exterior of the delivery vehicle. Ensure proper loading and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit. Respond promptly and professionally to any issues or delays encountered during deliveries. Uphold a strong commitment to safety and take appropriate measures to address any safety concerns.
General shop duties as required

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience off road to oilfield lease location is mandatory.

Must live within 20-minutes drive of Clairmont, AB

Class 5 Drivers License with clean Drivers Abstract.

Ability to pass Pre Access-Drug and Alcohol screening as well as random DOT testing

Minimum (2) years previous experience piloting and operating dual wheel truck and gooseneck / 5th wheel style combinations.

Knowledgeable on procedures on how to secure a load, weights & dimensions, and hours of service, using electronic logbooks as well as pre-trip and enroute inspections.

H2S, First Aid and Common Safety Orientation (CSO) are required.

Ability to have flexibility in schedule, work on short notice and adapt to change in work scope.

Ability to perform emergency roadside repairs.

Must be physically fit and able to pass our pre-employment screening.

Physical requirements include bending, safely lifting up to 20 kgs, working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment.

Travel to remote regions on winter roads with potential to work alone.

Available to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather.
