Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, communication, and hospitality, ensuring each visitor has a positive first impression of our establishment. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to provide an exceptional dining experience. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a strong customer service mindset is essential. The Host/Host will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and fostering guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently Escort guests to their tables and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlist using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely seating and service Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction Assist with general hospitality duties as needed to support team operations

Experience

Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and attentive listening Knowledge of food service protocols, restaurant operations, and customer service best practices Experience in hotel or food service environments enhances ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor, along with excellent phone etiquette
