We are seeking a professional and courteous Phone Operator to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining effective communication. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently. Our company is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Candidates must be able to work shift work including some weekends and holidays. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive organizational image while developing valuable customer service experience.
Duties
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing callers to the appropriate department or individual
Provide accurate information regarding company services, hours, and policies
Take detailed messages and relay them accurately in a timely manner
Manage call queues and prioritize urgent inquiries effectively
Maintain a clean and organized front desk or reception area
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments or sending follow-up communications
Assist with emergency calls, radio communications and report detailing
Experience
Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and friendly tone
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with standard office software and phone systems is desirable
Demonstrated professionalism, patience, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role
