Position Overview

Fresh\'s Front of House staff are an integral part of our team! The Host and Cashier roles are hired together as the knowledge and skills are transferable between the two, with both reporting to the General Manager.

A Host is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction by tracking reservations and greeting and seating guests, as well as clearing and re-setting tables in an efficient and courteous manner. A Cashier serves all takeout customers, placing orders made over the phone, in person, and through several delivery applications. The ideal candidate for the Host/Cashier position is an energetic, personable, team player, who can communicate clearly and multi-task. They would thrive in a fast-paced environment and posess great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

We operate 7 days a week between the hours of 10:00 AM - 11:00pm. There is flexibility within the schedules, but all staff must be available to work at least one weekend shift. All shifts are about 3-8 hours. Part-time hours are also available.

What Are We Looking For?

• Open and flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
• Experience in a customer service role
• Experience handling cash and cards, and using a Point Of Sales system
• Must have a Smart Serve certification or willing to obtain one before hire
• Able to complete physically demanding tasks - standing for long periods, lifting 50lbs, bending and reaching, etc.
• Experience working at a cafe, restaurant, or fast-food chain (bonus)

Summary of Responsibilities

• Completes a quality check before serving each dish and beverage
• Enters orders for delivery and take-out into our POS system
• Prevents shortages by restocking work stations with packaging products, etc.
• Provides customer satisfaction by assisting guests quickly and professionally
• Supports Servers in the dining room by running food and clearing tables
• Increases revenue by suggesting specials and using product knowledge
• Ensures a smooth service by being resourceful when problems arise
• Memorizes menu items and ingredients to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Communicates openly with management about concerns regarding workflow and escalations
