Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Host/Host will play a key role in managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours to reduce wait times Support other front-of-house duties as needed, including assisting with special events or large parties

Skills

Excellent guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and management Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service is advantageous Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Familiarity with hotel or restaurant experience is a plus Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: From $15.35 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
