St. Lawrence Cruise Lines Inc. has an opening for the position of Lead Stewardess for a Kingston-based overnight cruise ship on 4, 5, 6 and 7 night voyages to Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. This position is Full-time, Seasonal from May to October. It is suitable for persons over the age of 18 (including college and university students not returning for the fall semester). Paid training is provided. This is a supervisory role and previous experience will be highly valued. This includes cleaning experience, hospitality experience, table service experience, and experience in a supervisor or management role. Under the supervision of the Cruise Director, the Lead Stewardess is responsible for the following:
- Inspect all staterooms to ensure proper cleanliness and setup
- Supervising Hospitality Crew while Cruise Director is occupied
- Additional housekeeping duties at the discretion of the Cruise Director
- Assist with linen inventories for Cruise Director
- Food service and lounge duty supervision and assistance Work Periods:
- Full time, Seasonal (May-October)
- 10.5 hour days (on average)
- Alternating 4, 5, 6 and 7 night cruises on a "cruise-on, cruise-off" basis \xe2\x80\x93 equivalent to 40 hrs per week Wages and Compensation:
- $17.75 per hour + gratuities
- Full participation in crew gratuity program
- Transportation to/from ports provided (with food allowance)
