Hospitality Associate (Floater) - IAHS

Classification: 1-General

Position: Hospitality Associate (Floater)

Full-Time or Part-Time: Annual; Part Time, 24 up to 39.5 hours per week

Hourly Wage Rate: $22.58


Anticipated Normal Work Schedule - Expected Schedule:

Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 4:00pm Friday: 9:00am - 2:00pm

Note: This schedule is subject to change. Incumbent may be required to work on occasional/special event weekends. This schedule may require the incumbent to be up to a 1-hour unpaid meal break depending on the schedule.
Summary:

Provides hospitality services to the IAHS community in a friendly and efficient manner, including meals and principles of FIFO Ensures food is served at the correct temperature and in a timely manner Works with all team members and independently Assists with food preparation and service, inventory, and supervision Maintains cleanliness and follows all McMaster Hospitality Services balance till procedures Able to perform multiple tasks within time constraints, work independently, and handle stressful situations Lifts and transports heavy items, stands for long periods, and works in varying temperatures Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards Works in a team to prepare and serve meals, clean equipment, and maintain hygiene May be required to work at other locations Participates in training and meetings May be required to work special events May be required to assist with receiving and inventory May be required to assist with cleaning, garbage removal, recycling, and dishwashing Performs other duties as assigned See Hospitality Associate job description for more details
Education & Experience:

Previous hospitality experience required Must have good communication, reading, writing, and English skills
