Hourly Wage Rate:
$22.58 per hour
Anticipated Normal Work Schedule
Monday - Thursday:
4:30pm - 10:00pm
Friday:
4:00pm - 8:00pm
NOTE:
This schedule is subject to change. Incumbent may be required to work weekends and evening hours. This schedule may require you to take up to a 1-hour unpaid meal break depending on the schedule.
Summary
As a Hospitality Associate you will be representing McMaster University Hospitality Services.
Knife test may be required to demonstrate proficiency in knife handling.
Responsible for daily set up and production of La Piazza production including salads, vegetable, fruit, sandwiches, and other products as needed.
Must be able to maintain pre-determined production levels.
Communicate with customers and co-workers effectively, greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work area, including scheduled equipment and unit cleaning.
Ensure all product is stored, retrieved and stock is properly rotated (FIFO).
Perform all duties of any job classification equivalent or lower filling in wherever needed to assist in our excellent customer service requirement.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Ability to work well as a team member and independently.
Organize and coordinate work in a timely manner with little supervision.
Ability to work under pressure.
Multi-task with efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience
Previous experience in high production volume is required.
Must have good communication, reading, writing and English skills
Minimum 2 years experience in fast paced cashier position.
