Being a student-centered institution, our mandate is to offer in-demand programs with excellent employment outcomes, to which we have now expanded our offerings to include programs in Health Sciences.
The Hospitality And Tourism Program Instructor -
will be required to contribute to the academic success of students and the program by:
Delivering instruction that meets the course competencies and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
Evaluate student performance in a timely manner.
Enhance the program by leveraging industry contacts for the benefit of students' practical training and employment.
Education and Experience:
Should have a degree or certificate related to Hospitality and tourism Industry
2 year of working experience in the same field (Required)
Skills and Abilities:
Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset.
Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
High standards of behaviour, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.
Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably.
Other faculty qualifications may be considered for the Interpersonal Communications course (e.g., undergraduate degree in a Health or Human Services field).
