Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utilities, ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of horizontal directional drilling and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Utilize various tools and technologies to locate and mark underground utilities accurately. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safe digging practices are followed. Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to maintain operational efficiency. Assist in building and paving projects by providing accurate utility location data. Maintain detailed records of utility locations and project progress. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.

Qualifications

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with Caterpillar machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Commercial driving experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods in utility locating.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $36.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
