Home Support Worker - Saskatoon

Temporary position until June 1, 2023 with the possibility of extension.

Based out of Saskatoon, you will provide quality patient-centred care to our clients. As a Home Support Worker, you will assist with or perform light house keeping duties which aids the Client in achieving and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES
As a Home Support Worker, you will:

  • Assist with general household management including light housekeeping duties, shopping, meal planning and preparation ( recognizing any diet restrictions that may apply).
  • Encourage the Client in maintaining independence by supporting them to maintain a clean home.
  • Observe, document and report any emotional or physical changes noted in the Client\'s condition to the Client Care Manager/ Supervisor.
  • Be conscience of the hazards in the home environment and to act accordingly in meeting the safety and protection needs of the Client. In keeping with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Home Support Worker will take every reasonable precaution to ensure that the workplace is safe.
QUALIFICATIONS

To take on the role of Home Support Worker, you must have:
High School Diploma
  • Criminal record check with the Vulnerable Sector ( 6 months validity)
  • Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check (6 months validity)
  • CPR & First Aid certification .
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
