Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in their homes and community settings. The ideal candidate will support clients with daily living activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role is vital for promoting independence and improving quality of life for those with various health conditions or disabilities.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences Provide light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry to maintain a safe environment Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts for safe transfers Observe and report any changes in client health or behavior to healthcare professionals Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities when required Follow established care plans and protocols for patient safety and well-being

Requirements

Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, and medication administration Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is highly desirable Ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards and HIPAA compliance Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility support as needed Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties Certification in CPR or first aid is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required for some roles
