Overview

Big Hearts is looking for Home Share Providers to welcome individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) into their homes and provide personalized, high-quality care in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The contractors may be single, with family or anyone that can provide holistic person-centered care for the individual with private accessible furnished space of the house or basement suite to be used by the individual.

Responsibilities

Holistic Support

Personal Care with Medication management Home making support Recreational support and foster independence Provide good relationship with the individual

Experience:

Caregiving experience is preferred but not required, empathic, knowledge of budgeting, and the ability to communicate with the whole team

Qualifications:

First Aid and CPR certification (required). Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. NVCI Vaccinations (TB) and other medical requirements WHMIS Certification Food Safe Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $2,100.00-$3,000.00 per month

Schedule:

Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Night shift Weekends as needed
