Female Client - 14 hrs/week

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to client in their home. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for the individual requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in need.

Duties

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient care and monitor health status Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and office staff.

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is an asset but training can be provided. Knowledge of patient care protocols, medication administration, and safety procedures Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or dementia care is highly desirable Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely and effectively Certification or training in caregiving or nursing assistance is a plus but not mandatory
