Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide essential support and care to a individual in their home. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for the client. As a Home Care Worker, you will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support the client with meal preparation and dietary needs. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Engage client in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks. Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to supervisor. Offer companionship and emotional support to client, fostering a trusting relationship.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities. Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on compassion and patience. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with client, families, and healthcare professionals. Certification in home care or related fields is a plus but not mandatory. A commitment to providing high-quality care while respecting the dignity of the individual served.
