Job Summary:
York Community College is seeking a qualified
Instructor
to teach in the Holistic Esthetics and Spa Therapist Diploma program. This role includes guiding students through esthetics, spa therapies, holistic treatments, andReiki
practices to prepare them for successful careers in the wellness industry.Key Responsibilities:
Teach esthetics, anatomy, holistic therapies, Ayurveda, aromatherapy, and Reiki Instruct and supervise treatments including facials, waxing, massage, reflexology, and body wraps Ensure safe, ethical, and professional practice Assess student performance and provide feedback Support program development and student growth
Qualifications:
Option 1:
Diploma in Esthetics, Spa Therapy, or a related fieldplus 2+ years of industry experience
Option 2:
10+ years of relevant professional experience
in esthetics or holistic wellnessCertified Reiki Practitioner (Level II or higher required)
Teaching or training experience preferred Strong communication and mentoring skillsJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
Experience:
instructor: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
diploma in the field (preferred)
Work Location: In person
