Summary

We are seeking skilled people to join our dynamic team in Vancouver for several seasonal, contract positions. In these roles, you will play a crucial part in the execution of commercial holiday decor installation and dismantle, ensuring that every detail contributes to creating memorable experiences for our clients and their customers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the decor planning team to understand project requirements and objectives. Assist in the setup and breakdown of various types of holiday lighting and decor pieces inside and outside shopping malls and commercial properties spaces, ensuring all decor is operational. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks. Read installation and assembly documentation to execute decor installation accurately. Perform maintenance and repairs on decor pieces as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all phases of decor installation. Support the team in managing logistics, including transportation of materials. Contribute to post-event evaluations to improve future events.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction labour, manufacturing assembly or similar. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Ability to read instruction manuals and schematics effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction work. Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:

Commercial construction: 1 year (preferred) tv or film set decoration: 1 year (preferred) installing commercial holiday decor: 1 year (preferred)
