Job Description

Cambridge Sports Park is currently looking for independent contractors to be Hockey Referees. Referees provide skilled and technical officiating to each game they are responsible for. They are responsible for maintaining current knowledge of the playing rules and officiating procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for knowledge of the current and up to date playing rules and officiating procedures. Referees are responsible for wearing their uniforms and bringing any equipment needed to each game. Ensure game sheets are completed correctly by each team, and sign-off on them. Referees must be present and supervise the pre-game warm ups. Officiate and maintain control of the game, even during disputes between players and/or teams. At the end of each game, ensure both teams exit safely. Follow procedures to report any incidents that occur.

CHA (or Provincial Equivalent) Level 2
