We are looking to fill a part time

Hockey/Power Skating Instructor

. This person will have the ability to create a positive, inclusive and respectful environment with patience, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. This position will be

Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings

with additional coaching opportunities throughout the week at various times.

Tasks to be performed:

Plan and deliver practices focusing on skills, movement and fun

Teach core hockey skills: skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting

Teach skating fundamentals: balance, posture, stride mechanics, and edge control

Develop advanced skating skills: acceleration, speed, agility, crossovers, transitions, and stops

Adapt drills for varying experience levels and learning styles

Run safe, organized, engaging on-ice sessions

Creative a positive and fun atmosphere

Communicate effectively with players, parents, and program staff

Knowledge and Skills:

Previous hockey and power skating coaching experience (youth, competitive, or recreational) Strong knowledge of hockey/skating fundamentals and skill development Excellent communication skills with players, parents, and staff A passion for player development and fun Strong organizational and time-management skills
