We are looking for a highly organized and positive person to help keep our hockey programs running smoothly. This position supports the Surrey Eagles BCHL team, our JPHL academy teams, and all development programs. You will help coordinate schedules, communication, travel, and logistics to make sure everything off the ice runs as well as it does on the ice.
Main Responsibilities
Communication & Administration
Send and organize emails between coaches, players, parents, schools, and vendors.
Keep team information, schedules, and documents up to date.
Answer questions quickly and professionally.
Help schedule meetings and keep notes when needed.
Team support & Coordination
Assist with player registration and team rosters.
Ensure all league forms and requirements are complete.
Keep everyone informed about practice times, games, and events.
Stay in touch with billet families and school staff to keep things running smoothly.
Travel and Event Planning
Book buses, hotels, and flights for away games.
Organize meals and off-ice details.
Prepare and share travel itineraries.
Work with vendors and partners to make travel simple and stress-free.
School and Facility Coordination
Be the point person between the Academy and partner schools.
Book ice times and other facilities as needed.
Help ensure students balance hockey and academics.
Office & Financial Support
Track team budgets and expenses.
Help with invoices and vendor payments.
Support with event planning, sponsorship coordination, and game-day needs.
General Club Support
Help with community events and media when needed.
Keep all communication consistent with Surrey Eagles Brand and values.
Assist with special events, showcases, and tournaments.
Requirements
Organized, reliable and friendly.
Great communication and writing skills.
Comfortable with email, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Able to manage several tasks at once and stay calm under pressure.
Experience in administration or sports coordination is an asset.
A love for hockey and supporting young athletes in a big plus.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a remote-first position (about 70% or more from home).
Occasionally (around 25%) you will attend team meetings, games, or special events in person.
Must be available on some evenings and weekends during hockey season.
Compensation
: $25,000/Annual
